Crabtree Nissan and Crabtree Toyota Host Middlebury’s First Daikoku Night Car Show

Middlebury, CT — On Saturday, May 16, 2026, Crabtree Nissan and Crabtree Toyota hosted the first-ever Daikoku Nights right on their shared lot at 2191 Straits Turnpike in Middlebury. Named for Tokyo’s legendary Daikoku Parking Area, the three-hour, public car meet brought together builders and enthusiasts from across Connecticut’s car scene the night before the Broke East Meet, one of New England’s largest automotive festivals.

Clean Builds, Real Respect

Clean builds were encouraged up front in the dealership’s Nissan and Toyota sections, but the event was open to all builds and all enthusiasts. The one rule that mattered most: respect the lot. With the Middlebury Police Department on hand, the night stayed true to that message — a low-key, high-energy meet built around the cars, not the drama.

What Showed Up

The lot filled with a mix of premium builds, legends, modern performance cars, and enthusiast favorites, with additional turnout from local car crews RAD STALLIONS and KeiPopUp. Taco N’ Madre kept the food truck line moving all night, DJ Duck handled the live music, and the whole scene leaned into what organizers described as “late-night lights, premium cars, real enthusiasts — no pressure, no pretenses.”
